22.10.11 - All out at Oulton Park

It has been 2 years since I last visited Oulton Park and was looking forward to a good days racing!

Practice - The car proved well and after a few laps I started to make steady progress.

Race one - This race was fairly uneventful, we managed a super pit stop where we managed to jump ahaed of the Porsche. Started out 5th and dropped back to 6th, was quite a tough race with stiff competition.

Race two - The highlight was leading the race (lowlight it was behind the safety car). Started out 6th and dropped back to 7th, had a great day at Oulton and look forward to coming back next year!

18.07.11 - Classic Racing at it's best

Practice - The track started out wet, with a dry line appearing during the session. Rod Birley put in a great lap time towards the end of the session, securing 3rd on the grid. The car performed well and everything felt right for race one.

Race one - Fired up and ready for some great competition, I was looking forward to pushing the car and myself a bit harder! Unfortunately the car cut out on the grid, we were then unable to get the car going again (ignition issues).

Race two - The track was now extremely wet and Rod Birley was now sitting at the back in position 11. Rod carved his way through, getting us up to 2nd. Jumping into the hot seat for the second half, I managed to maintain 2nd and had a fantastic battle with the Lotus Sunbeam.

Missing the first race was frustrating, but the second race and getting up on the podium really made my day!
